DPF warnings need context
A filter-related warning may call for a manufacturer-specified action, further diagnosis or a workshop procedure. The wording matters. A general filter message and a warning accompanied by reduced power should not be treated as identical. Consult the handbook for your exact vehicle and tell Autohex what has already been attempted.
Do not follow a generic high-speed driving recipe from another model. Regeneration involves high exhaust temperatures, and suitability depends on the vehicle’s instructions and condition. EGR concerns and engine symptoms
An EGR-related code may appear alongside hesitation, rough running or other complaints. The code is one part of the assessment. Ask what checks are needed to distinguish a component problem from wiring, sensor information or another related cause. Cleaning or replacement should follow the findings and the manufacturer’s requirements.
For a diesel with wider performance symptoms, start with diesel engine diagnostics. Explain whether the issue occurs at idle, when warm or under load. A useful investigation considers the complaint as a whole instead of treating every warning as a separate failed part. Confirm the available work for your engine before arranging the visit.
AdBlue and SCR messages
An AdBlue warning may concern fluid level or a system fault. The dashboard message and handbook determine how it should be interpreted. Use only the specified product and correct filler location. If the message remains after an appropriate refill, or reports a fault or restart restriction, obtain model-specific guidance.

Repair the cause and retain emissions function
Ask about assessment, supported cleaning procedures, component repair or replacement and appropriate verification. A warning light that has been suppressed does not demonstrate a successful repair. For road use, consider the vehicle’s emissions requirements and keep its emissions equipment functioning. A workshop assessment is not an emissions-test certificate or a guarantee of registration compliance.
